Barlow Property Consultancy is dedicated to providing expert and uncomplicated advice in the increasingly complex world of property. We are proud to say that within our client base we have Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Churches and National Companies as well as large and small property owners and tenants. Whatever our client’s background we offer the same quality of service to  achieve their  goals.

 

Stephen Barlow founded Barlow Property Consultancy in 2002 after a successful career in Local Authority and private practice. Stephen is a Chartered Surveyor with 35 years experience in the property industry. Having worked in both the public and private sectors, Stephen has a practical and invaluable knowledge of the workings of local planning authorities and building control. Stephen’s experience in the private sector has fine-tuned his understanding of market forces and commercial factors that affect property owners and tenants alike.

Being from a farming background, Stephen enjoys the outdoor life and takes a keen interest in countryside and rural issues. He is married to Gail who is also a Director and the Practice Manager, and they have two children.

Stephen is supported by Jeffrey Leighton, a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer of over 30 years, also with a local authority and private practice mixed background.

We work in affiliation with other professionals who possess complementary skills such as planning consultants, architects, structural engineers, asbestos surveyors and fire risk assessors. Therefore, we are able to enlist and coordinate the services of other experts if it is felt that it will be to the client’s advantage.
